The wine tasting experiences at Man O’ War and Batch were entertaining, educational and delicious. We enjoyed lunch at Batch overlooking Waheike with views of both surrounding oceans. Lovely! An added bonus was trying the gins at the Waheike Distilling Co. We enjoyed it so much that we purchased a bottle of The Spirit of Waheike to take home. Throughout it all, Graeme was a wonderful host, sharing about the people and the culture and the island as we toured. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

Right from... read more the time of our booking, the communication was stellar. Graeme picked us up at our hotel and gave us a personalized, guided tour of the city of Auckland. It is clear to me that Graeme is proud of his city and he shared a great deal of history and culture of the Māori people and colonization period.

The Tuk Tuk (large electric golf cart) is comfortable and can maneuver into small places. Graeme stopped for photo opportunities and even let us take a detour to get a coffee. I am so glad I stumbled upon this tour when searching the web. I happily recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to get an Auckland overview, but has no interest in the hop on hop off buses.

Our guide was very accommodating and very informative, although the weather wasn’t great (raining) and visibility a bit low on certain landmarks it was still a great tour. Also, rather than taking us directly back to our hotel at the end of the tour, our guide happily dropped us off at the Auckland Art Gallery with no bother, and we had a wonderful time at the gallery. Another must-do when in Auckland. All in all a great last day in the city!
